KATHARINA HAUKE
Jury members Cate Lartey and Yohanan Khodr have selected Katharina Hauke for this year’s project scholarship. Katharina Hauke is a german artist who works as well with film as with photography. Her works explore the connection between people and landscapes with a focus on history. Her experimental approach allows her to create unconventional situations for exhibitions, as her current project KIOSK demonstrates. For the series curated by Clémentine Roy, she invited Iranian photographer Mohammad Ghazali to exchange and share photographs between Berlin and Tehran.
During the scholarship, she will continue to develop the project “from where to”, where she will explore the possibility of remembering, as well as how to deal with documents and with undocumented histories.
